THE TEXT MESSAGE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING (EPISODE 1)

Amara had always believed she and Chike were perfect for each other. Two years together, they had shared laughter, fights, and countless late-night calls. To everyone around them, they were the couple that proved love still existed in a world full of broken promises.

That Saturday afternoon, Amara was helping Chike tidy up his apartment before heading out for a friend’s wedding. His phone kept buzzing on the table, but Chike was in the bathroom.

At first, she ignored it. After all, she trusted him. But the buzzing wouldn’t stop. Something inside her told her to just glance at the screen.

One new message popped up. The sender’s name wasn’t saved—just a number. The words on the screen made her heart stop:

👉 “I miss last night already… when are we seeing again? ❤️”

Amara’s hands trembled. Her chest tightened. She wanted to drop the phone immediately, pretend she hadn’t seen anything, and continue dusting the shelf. But curiosity—and fear—kept her frozen.

Her mind raced: Last night? But he was with me last night… wasn’t he?

Just then, Chike stepped out of the bathroom, towel around his waist, smiling innocently. “Babe, you ready?” he asked, wiping his hair.

Amara quickly dropped the phone back on the table, her heartbeat louder than his words. She plastered on a shaky smile. “Yes… I’m ready.”

But deep down, she knew nothing would ever feel the same again.

And then—her phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out, only to see a shocking notification that made her knees almost give way.

👉 The message wasn’t from Chike’s phone this time. It was from her own best friend.
